Homearama – Million-dollar houses are back for Homearama’s 2013 show at Carriage Hill in Liberty Township. For the first time in the 51-year history of the new home show, all six houses on display have been sold. Buyers paid between $850,000 and $1.3 million for the homes. The home showcase ends Sunday.
Weightlifting National Championships – A record-breaking 216 athletes will compete at this weekend’s Weightlifting National Championships at SkateTown USA, 8730 Union Center Pavillion Drive, in West Chester. This weekend’s weightlifting competition will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The free event will be highlighted by Sarah Robles, a 2012 U.S. Olympian, and Cincinnati’s own Keith Connolly, who is the state weightlifting record holder.

Butler County Fair – The county’s 163rd fair opened to the public this past Sunday and will come to close Saturday. The event was expected to bring more than 85,000 visitors to the Hamilton fairgrounds. The fair will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. both days.
Wakeboard National Championship – For the second straight year, the 2013 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships will take place at Voice of America Park in West Chester Township. Last year’s championships marked the first time in its 23-year history that it was held in Ohio. The event began Thursday and will continue Friday and Saturday. Movies in the Park – West Chester Township’s Movies in the Park series, sponsored by the West Chester Fire Department, will return this summer to the Keehner Park amphitheatre, 7211 Barret Road. The first movie, “Rise of the Guardians”, will be shown this Friday at dusk. The movie showings are free to attend. Attendees are recommended to bring blankets, lawn chairs, bug repellent and snacks. Popcorn and beverages will be provided.
Farmer’s Market at the Square – The farmers’ market season in West Chester Township will take place every Saturday through October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Square at Union Centre, 9285 Centre Pointe Drive. The farmers’ market features all local vendors with produce and meats grown and raised locally and products made by hand.
Fifth Third Concert Series – The free Saturday concerts at Keehner Park are back for another summer. The concert series kicked off in June. This week, American Graffiti Band will perform. The concerts take place from 7 to 9 p.m. The concert series will end in early September.
