Work days are scheduled at two of Liberty Township parks before spring visitors arrive.
Parks Committee member Chuck Holliday needs volunteers to help establish a new mulch area at the Wetlands West on Saturday.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., volunteers will cut down invasive plants, including honeysuckle, as well as put down mulch, at the park, 6906 Van Gorden Road.
The same kind of work will be done March 8 at Dudley Memorial Park, 5700 Yankee Road. Meet at 10 a.m. Work continues until about 1 p.m.
Volunteers should wear long sleeves, boots or work shoes, and safety glasses. Those who have hand pruners and loppers are asked to bring them to both work days.
