Wise Owl Wine Bar toasts to its anniversary

Posted by akiefaber September 1st, 2010, 11:04 am Post a Comment

The Wise Owl Wine Bar will be celebrating its one-year anniversary with a party Sept. 11. Enjoy food, drinks and live music on their outdoor patio while helping them toast their first year in business.

“We want to thank all of our patrons who have visited us during our inaugural year,” said J.T. Howard, sommelier and general manager.

“During this time we have strived to go above and beyond guest expectations by providing wine, hand-crafted cocktails and fresh tapas, served with intimate ambience and the best possible service. We hope our regular patrons will encourage their friends to try us, too.”

A self-described “tailor for wine,” Howard helps educate people’s palettes as they visit the Wise Owl.

The Wise Owl is not only a wine bar, but it also serves beer and classic cocktails. Its seasonal menu features tapas made fresh with local produce and the Wise Owl’s own smoked meats.

The Wise Owl features live entertainment from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., either on their intimate patio in summer months, or inside during the cooler weather.

Special theme nights are featured throughout the week, like the chocolate and wine pairings on Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ($15).

The Wise Owl is available for special events and private parties (such as holiday parties and bridal showers), and they offer catering services.
