The staff at the West Chester Center for Dentistry surprised their boss, Dr. Christine Mikhail, with a unique Christmas gift – a rap video about dentistry in which they wrote, recorded and performed in.
Jennifer Rountree, who is the insurance coordinator for the West Chester Center for Dentistry and lead rap artist in the video, said she was inspired to write the song after watching the Bon Qui Qui video “I’m a Cut You.”
“Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t tell us they are unhappy to be here or how they hate the dentist. So I wanted to write it from the perspective of what it’s like to hear that day after day,” Rountree said.
Rountree said they completed the video months ago and showed their boss during their Christmas party. They also tested the video by sharing it with patients.
“They loved it so much we decided to share it with the world, since it’s relatable to anyone who works at or has ever been to the dentist,” she said.
Besides Rountree, who resides in Middletown, other employees in the video include Ashley Liette of Maineville; Diane Masseth of Springboro; Samantha Hibbard of Liberty Township; Sarah Easter of Germantown; Stephanie Aukerman of West Alexandria; Sue Arnold of Lebanon; and Heather Noonan of Colerain.
