The Lakota Levy Committee, which a group that supports the proposed tax levy on the ballot this November, will host two pro-levy events next week. On Tuesday, the committee will host a fundraiser/family fun night at THE WEB extreme entertainment and it will host “Sign UP Day” next Saturday, Oct. 8, at two locations (THE WEB and Lakota West High School).
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. during family fun night Tuesday, families can purchase discounted wristbands and 40 percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Committee for Lakota’s Future.

For a $20 wristband, children can choose from six premium or standard attractions (a $48 value). For a $10 wristband, children can choose from six standard attractions (a $24 value).

Meanwhile, “Sign UP Day” will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Residents interested in a yard sign to support the levy can go to THE WEB, located at the corner of Cincinnati-Dayton Road and Hamilton-Mason Road or to Lakota West High School’s parking lot, located at the corner of Union Centre Blvd. and West Chester Road.
A drive-through line will be available and a volunteer will place a sign in your car.
The proposed levy, Issue 5, would raise $12.6 million annually with collections beginning in January. Taxes would increase about $145 annually on a $100,000 house.
