State Rep. Margaret Conditt and Greg Lawson, president of the Buckeye Institute, will discuss Ohio issues at the West Chester Tea Party regular monthly meeting Tuesday. Registration and networking will take place at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting itself begins at 7 p.m. at 5430 West Chester Road.

In June of 2011, Conditt was selected to fill the state representative seat left empty when Bill Coley was appointed to replace Gary Cates in the Ohio Senate.

Conditt, who is a retired chemist and a former Liberty Township trustee, was among 13 Republicans who applied for the appointment and was the top vote getter of four candidates recommended by the Butler County GOP.

Conditt (Republican) is on the ballot in November for Ohio’s 52nd House District and will face Libertarian candidate Robert Coogan of Hamilton and Democratic candidate Branden Rudie of West Chester.

During the Tea Party event, Conditt will speak on current events in the Ohio State House and answer questions. Meanwhile, Lawson will discuss the economic overview of Ohio, the right to work and collective bargaining reform, according to a release from the Tea Party.
