Sheila McLaughlin reports:
A Blue Ash developer that last year scrapped a Kroger Marketplace project at Ohio 747 and Tylersville Road amid scads of neighborhood opposition got what it wanted on Monday.
The West Chester Township Zoning Commission, with three members approving and two abstaining, recommended approval of a revised project before a packed meeting room.
A final vote on the zone change and development concept will go before township trustees in February or March.
About 100 neighbors of the 35-acre project turned out at the three-hour meeting with an attorney.
“Our job is to convince the trustees,” said residents’ attorney Tim Mara said Tuesday. “What’s the point of having a land use plan if you don’t stick to it. I think that’s an overriding issue here.”
