Organizing for Action will be holding a protest outside of House Speaker John Boehner’s West Chester office Tuesday calling on Congress to end the partial government shutdown.
The Ohio chapter of the group will lead a rally starting at 4:30 p.m. at 7969 Cincinnati-Dayton Road. OFA is the group established initially to help re-elect President Barack Obama and now describes itself as an issues-driven social welfare organization.
In a news release announcing the event, the group said hundreds of thousands of furloughed federal workers and other economic impacts should force Congress to act.
“These families have bills to pay and mouths to feed,” the group said. “It’s not right that some members of Congress are putting their own political agenda before the American people.”
