June is National Hunger Awareness and Fruits and Vegetables month.
One way Reach Out Lakota is helping promote healthy eating is by accepting donations of home-grown produce from local gardeners so that the organization can offer its clients fresh vegetables and fruits.
To donate fresh produce, drop it off during the charity’s regular business hours, Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Reach Out Lakota is located at 6561 Station Road in West Chester.
Reach Out Lakota’s mission is to assist individuals and families in the Lakota school district by putting help and hope into their hands during times of need through their food and clothing pantries.
