On Friday, Lakota West extended its winning streak to three games with a 49-40 win against Colerain. Meanwhile, Lakota East lost its second straight game when it fell to Princeton 59-53.

After the two straight losses, both within conference play, there is a crowd atop the Greater Miami Conference standings. East (11-3, 5-2 in GMC) is now tied with Sycamore (8-4, 5-2) and Middletown (8-6, 5-2). Fairfield (8-3, 5-3) Lakota West (7-4, 5-3) are also fighting for that top spot.

On Saturday, Lakota West couldn’t hand Mason (14-0, 9-0 in GMC) its first loss of the season – losing 54-51. Lakota East, on the other hand, defeated Hamilton 45-34.
