After losing its first two dual meets of the year to Northern Kentucky high schools, Ryle and Simon Kenton, Laktoa bounced backed with a second place finish at the Firebird (Kettering Fairmont) Invitational this past weekend.
With a lineup that was depleted due to illness, the Thunderhawks made a late-day run, but did not have enough firepower to overcome Fairmont.
Winning individual championships for East were: Austin Daly (Sr., 120 lbs.), Douglas Davenport (Sr., 182 lbs.), and Jacob Burton (Sr., 285 lbs.). Finishing in second was Justin Brown (Sr., 132 lbs.). Third place finishers included: Sam Roth (Fr., 106 lbs.) and Ryan Durham (So., 220 lbs.). Finishing in fourth place was Austin Schoeffler (Jr., 126 lbs.).
