The Round2Crew hip hop guys from West Chester Township needs your help. The three Lakota East High School graduates are the only local performers in CBS’ “Grammy Gig Of A Lifetime” online contest to win the chance to perform at the Grammy Awards on CBS on Jan. 26 (8 p.m., Channel 12).
Judges selected 40 finalists. You can see their “Last Night” video and vote here. Voting ends at 11:59:00 a.m. Pacific Time (or 2:59 p.m. EST) on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Justin “Pape” Brown (rapper), Kevin “K-Fly” Flynn (rapper) and Chase Martin (vocalist/producer) have been performing together since they were high school sophomores. After graduating June 1, “we got serious and have done 20-25 shows,” Brown says. They have performed in Los Angeles, London, Nashville, Florida and Texas. Their next gig is in Nashville on Feb. 14, after they release their EP on Jan. 29.
