The Butler County Visitors Bureau (BCVB) is currently running a promotion to increase the amount of “likes” it has on its Facebook page. As part of the promotion, the BCVB is giving people the chance to enter its BC Shop & Stay Weekend Getaway.

The winner of the getaway will receive two nights accommodation at Wingate by Wyndham Cincinnati/West Chester and dinner for two at the M Café. The contest also includes a VIP tote from Cincinnati Premium Outlets, a Cincinnati Favorites gift basket, a gift card to IKEA and coupons from other shopping destinations in Butler County.

The Cincinnati Premium Outlets VIP tote includes a $100 centerwide gift card and a voucher for a free VIP coupon book worth hundreds of dollars in savings at participating stores. The prize also includes a $10 gift card to Jungle Jim’s International Market and a $100 gift card for shopping at IKEA.

The sweepstakes is open to any U.S. resident, who is 18 years old and older. The contest will end at midnight Aug. 31.

The Oscar Event Center at Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield will host a fundraiser for the 3 Little Halos fund next Saturday, Aug. 20. The 3 little Halos fund has been established to support organizations and programs dedicated to promote fire safety, prevention and awareness, as well as other household safety practices.

This fund has been created in memory of Aubrey, Alex and Braden Butler (photo) who passed away in November of 2007 as a result of a fire in their West Chester home. The children’s legacy will continue by assisting organizations that work to ensure a safe environment for children and their families.

Currently, 3 Little Halos is raising funds to build a Safety Town. The town is a small scale city for young children, which is designed to teach all aspects of traffic safety, as well as, fire, water, weather and many other safety concerns for children.

The event at Jungle Jim’s, which is located at 5440 Dixie Hwy., includes a dinner buffet, music, cash bar, emcee radio personality Dean Miuccio, silent auctions, raffles, Chinese auctions and door prizes.

Tickets to the event cost $30 for each person or $200 for a table of eight.
