The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is bringing its production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to two Butler County locations this month.
The two-hour long shows are part of the company’s seventh annual Shakespeare in the Park Tour. Six actors from the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will perform under the direction of Miranda McGee.
There is no cost for the show at either location.
The comedy combines three story lines surrounding the wedding of Theseus of Athens and Hippolyta, the Amazon queen.
It comes to West Chester Township’s Keehner Park, 7211 Barret Road, on Aug. 24. Children’s activities related to the show begin at 6 p.m., followed by the 6:30 p.m., performance.
The play will be presented at 7 p.m., Aug. 27, at Oxford’s Uptown Park, located at the intersection of E. High and S. Main streets.
