John Kiesewetter reports:
10:45 a.m. Thursday Jan 23 update: Now there are two. Fox 19 says Jared White of Trenton — who was not indentifed when he sang last night on “American Idol” — advanced to the Hollywood Round along with Brandy Neelly, daughter of Channel 5 news director Mike Neelly and Cheryl Case Neelly of Liberty Township.
White, 30, was the guy who sang to Jennifer Lopez with a gold piece of paper in his hand while Keith Urban played his guitar. The scene apparently was taped after his first song for the judges, and after they voted to advance him to the Hollywood Round.
Fox 19 also says Samantha Furtwengler, 18, of Cincinnati on last night’s show — who won’t be going to Hollywood (see last night’s post below) — lives in West Chester Township. Read the Fox 19 story here. So far, Fox has only released a photo of Furtwengler from last night.
ORIGINAL POST 10 P.M. WEDS., JAN. 22: Jennifer Lopez remembered her. Did you?
Brandy Neelly — daughter of Channel 5 news director Mike Neelly and Cheryl Case Neelly of Liberty Township — got a golden ticket to Hollywood on “American Idol” for a third year in a row.
Brandy, 18, was identified as a Louisville fitness center receptionist taped last summer in Detroit. On the show last year, she was identified as a Louisville high school student. Her mother moved here last summer, after Brandy graduated from high school, to join her husband in a home in Liberty Township. She sells for Comey & Shepherd.
