When leaving the “Kimberly Ann” many Homearama visitors had many positive things to say about the exterior of the home.

“I really liked the craftsman style,” Barb Moringstar of Fairfield said of the exterior. “It reminds of an old-fashioned home. I want to say 1940s, when not all of the homes looked the same.”

>>>PICTURES OF THE KIMBERLY ANN AT HOMEARAMA 2011<<<

The house may have a different feel to it since the builder is just starting build more homes in the suburbs after focusing most of their time in the city and in rural areas.

At last years’ Citi-Rama Home Show, Willig Greystone Custom Homes won “favorite” floor plan from the critics for a home under $220,000. It was that popular floor plan that the builder decided to use in the “Kimberly Ann.”

“It is an easy flowing floor plan,” said Dan Willig, president of Willig Greystone Custom Homes. “It makes people comfortable right when they step in the home.”

The first floor features three bedrooms, all tucked away, including a master bedroom with an extremely large bathroom and two spacious walk-in closets.

In the basement, the “Kimberly Ann” features a storm shelter and walkout with access to the rear and connection up to outdoor covered porches. The basement also features an entertaining area with billiards room, bar, game area and media room, in addition to a bedroom, full bathroom and exercise room.

2011 Cincinnati Homearama The “Kimberly Ann” is also the only home in the show with LEED certification, meaning it provides the home with the highest standard of energy efficiency at Homearama.

“This may be one of the only LEED homes to be built in West Chester,” Willig said. “This house also offers a fresh new style and updated design features like the kitchen and hearth room openness and the craftsman exterior.”

The home is approximately 5,000 square feet is for sale for $849,900.

The 2011 edition of Homearama in West Chester opened June 11 and has drawn more than 10,000 people through Thursday, June 16. Crowds are expected to grow larger as the event gets closer to its ending date (June 26).

“Typically attendance grows as the show goes a long,” said Dan Dressman, executive director of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati. “Our last day is usually the busiest.”

Tickets for this year’s Homearama cost $13 at the gate or $11 at Greater Cincinnati area Kroger stores. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge if accompanied by an adult.

The event, which takes place June 11-26, will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. then on Friday through Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

Due to its location at the end of the street, the “Manchester” is typically the last home many of the Homearama visitors see at the show.

“This is one is the best in the show,” said Barb Gerth of Mt. Washington. “It is practical and it is the best value.”

The 4,700-square foot home features a master suite with a spacious bathroom and a large deck that runs off the kitchen.

The second floor was designed for the family’s three small children. Not only does each child have their own room, but there are two full bathrooms and a kids play area/media room (photo) on that level.

Homearama 2011 “A lot of people of come up to me and have told me that it is their most favorite home,” builder Jeff Wieland said. “I believe, that the reason why is because there is a more of personal touch to it. This home was built from scratch for the people, who we built it for, and people can relate to it.”

The home was built and sold for $672,000. It is the least expensive home at Homearama.

“With the way we operate, is that you bring us the budget, tell us what you are looking for and we will try to meet that,” Wieland said. “We want people to see that they don’t have to pay a lot of money to have a custom built home.”

Tomorrow, WestChesterBuzz.com will breakdown and provide a photo gallery of the “Kimberly Ann” built by Willig Greyston Custom Homes.

Zaring Premier Homes presents the “New Brunswick”

Homearama 2011

The “New Brunswick” at this year’s Homearama stands out from other homes in the show in multiple areas. After speaking with the show’s visitors, much of the buzz is about the home’s kitchen and its basement.

“We have received a lot of feedback about the kitchen,” said Ray Neverovich, president of the north division at The Drees Company. “There is a lot of light and it is open. I think people have really liked that a lot.”

>>>PICTURES OF THE “NEW BRUNSWICK<<<

The kitchen itself features a sink before a large set of windows, stainless steel appliances, large white cabinets and a lot of counter space.

Downstairs, the basement excited many of the show’s visitors thus far. The Cincinnati Reds themed basement features a Reds mural, a walk-up bar, billiards area and a separate sitting room to watch the game.

Homearama 2011 Another feature that catches the eye in the basement is the circular see-through Solaris fireplace by Heat & Glo, which gives the impression that is never ending.

Upstairs is more traditional. The second floor features four bedrooms and a family room area for gaming or watching television. The home also features a mother-in-law suite on the first floor equipped with a kitchen that includes a refrigerator and a sink.

“It is very traditional (to have the bedrooms all on the second floor),” Neverovich said. “It is very popular in Cincinnati. Most of the homes we sell at Zaring and at Drees continue to have second floor master bedrooms. We thought we should continue with that and target that buyer.”

The “New Brunswick” is one of two homes in the show that is currently available for purchase. Previously listed at $973,000, the builder has it aggressively priced at $834,900.

Overall, the home is 5,493 square feet, features five bedrooms and four and one half bathrooms.

Justin Doyle Homes presents “The Augusta”

Due to high readership about Cincinnati’s 2011 Homearama in West Chester, WestChesterBuzz.com will breakdown each of the featured homes in the show this week. The first home that you come to upon entering the event has shown to be also the most memorable for visitors of the event.

Daniels Hicks Homes presents “Collina Bella Casa”

Homearama 2011

The “Collina Bella Casa,” which means “beautiful hilltop home” and is Homearama’s largest and most expensive home in the show. The layout, which features 14 rooms, five bedrooms, five full and one half bathrooms is 7,100 square feet and is priced at $1,077,000.

>>>PICTURES OF THE “COLLINA BELLA CASA”<<<

When asked what stood out to him about the home James Wade of West Chester pointed out two big things.

“What stood out to me? Well, its size and its cost,” Wade said. “I would love to have it. It is a very captivating house. The deck and recreation room were very impressive.”

Homearama 2011 Many Homearama visitors like Tom Brehm of West Chester enjoyed the two-layer deck, which featured a hot tub on the bottom layer and a flatscreen on the top. Brehm, like most who attended the event so far, was shocked to see an indoor basketball court in the basement.

Karen Keeton of Anderson Township liked the basement at the New Brunswick (to be featured on the Buzz later this week), which featured a Cincinnati Reds theme and was built by Zaring Premier Homes.

“I liked the Reds basement, but did you see the basketball court?” Keeton said after walking through the Zaring home. “That was the best.”

The basement at the “Collina Bella Casa” also features a full bar, billiards, game area, a private suite with walk-in closet and a media center that holds a large-screen television. The basketball area, which is actually a half-court, is located to the right of the billiards area down another set of stairs.

The home also features a first-floor suite that has a walkout to a covered deck, a master bath and an oversized walk-in closet with custom built-ins. The second floor features three junior suites and a loft.

Tomorrow, WestChesterBuzz.com will breakdown and provide a photo gallery of “The Augusta” built by Justin Doyle Homes.

Homearama 2011 edition set to begin this weekend

Posted by akiefaber June 8th, 2011, 5:54 pm Post a Comment

Homearama 2011, which will take place in the West Chester residential development of Foxborough, will begin this Saturday, June 11. Builders have all five of the featured homes, which are priced from $672,000 to just more than $1 million, nearly ready for the public.

2011 Cincinnati Homearama This year’s Homearama is the 49th time that the local homebuilders association has done the show. Last year, the event was skipped due to “the downturn in the economy,” according to said Dan Dressman, executive director of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati.

Two builders, Willig Greystone Custom Homes and Zaring Premier Homes, are currently looking for home buyers at this month’s Homearama. The Greystone home is a four-bedroom home listed at $769,000 and includes a media and billiards room. Meanwhile, the Zaring house is listed at $973,000 and is 5,400-square-foot, five-bedroom home.

The other three luxury homes at this year’s Homearama have already been sold. Those homes include a five-bedroom home that has a indoor basketball half-court built by Daniels Homes (sold for $1,077,000), a five-bedroom ranch with media room built by Justin Doyle Homes (sold for $815,000) and a five-bedroom home with hobby and craft rooms built by Jack H. Wieland Builders Inc. (sold for $672,000).

2011 Cincinnati Homearama“One of the reasons (we picked West Chester Township) was because it was identified as one of the best places to live, not just in Ohio, but in the whole United States by Money Magazine,” Dressman said. “That was a major draw for us. Also, the school system is great and there has been a hotbed of activity over the last several years in the community and we hope to build upon that.”

>>>CINCINNATI ENQUIRER PREVIEW OF HOMEARAMA 2011<<<

Cincinnati.com posted a preview of the event, titled “Homearama 2011 to open front doors” while WestChesterBuzz.com posted more information about the event late last week called “2011 Cincinnati Homearama begins June 11 in West Chester.”

Tickets for this year’s Homearama will cost $13 at the gate or $11 at Greater Cincinnati area Kroger stores. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge if accompanied by an adult.

The event, which will take place June 11-26, will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. then on Friday through Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

2011 Cincinnati Homearama begins June 11 in West Chester

Posted by akiefaber June 2nd, 2011, 1:41 pm Post a Comment

Builders are putting on the finishing touches to their homes for the 2011 Greater Cincinnati area’s Homearama, which will take place in Foxborough, a residential development in West Chester Township June 11-26. The event will feature five houses that will range from $672,000 to just more than $1 million.

Homearama in West Chester “The homes are a lot lower priced than they had been in the past. I think that is a reflection of not just the economy, but also the society that we are living in,” said Dan Dressman, executive director of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati.

>>>PICTURES OF 2011 HOMEARAMA HOMES<<<

“There is probably a lot more functionality in the homes then there might have been in the past. They are still very luxurious. They still have a lot of bells and whistles, but they are downsized as far as the size of the homes. The footprints are not as big as they may have been in the past.”

Three of the five luxury homes were pre-sold. Those homes include the ones built by Jack H. Wieland Builders Inc. (sold for $672,000), Daniels Homes (sold for $1,077,000) and Justin Doyle Homes (sold for $815,000).

The two other featured homes are listed for sale. The home built by Willig Greystone Custom Homes (pictured left) is listed at $769,000 and the home built by Zaring Premier Homes (pictured right) is listed at $973,000.

Homearama in West Chester“They (each house in the show) will have different characteristics that will draw people to them,” Dressman said. “You will be able to get a good grasp on what colors are popular this year, what types of cabinets, bathroom fixtures and light fixtures around the house. You will also see the latest and greatest trends, as well as some great new designs.”

Also new to Homearama in 2011, will be the bedrooms that have been decorated on a budget. According to Dressman, each home will feature a themed bedroom that was decorated for $2,500.

Foxborough is located off Hamilton-Mason Road and State Route 747 in West Chester Township. It is near the Liberty Township border.
