TriHealth broke ground last week on a 49,000 square-foot medical office building in West Chester.
TriHealth’s Group Health practice in Springdale will relocate to the new two-story medical building at 8040 Princeton-Glendale Road when it opens in the fall of 2014, company officials said.
The new Group Health West Chester location will offer variety of specialties and services, including family medicine, adult medicine, orthopedics, rheumatology, podiatry, otolaryngology (ear, nose, throat), endocrinology, obstetrics, pediatrics, allergy, dermatology, general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.
Other services include gastroenterology (digestive health), physical therapy, imaging, a laboratory, a pharmacy, audiology and hearing aid services and conference rooms for public education.
The facility’s design will be based on a “medical home” model, which includes practices and services that are close to each other and share spaces such as check-in/check-out and administration.
Group Health will lease the office space from Duke Realty, which will own and manage the building.
“The unique design minimizes the time patients need to move around the facility for care,” explained Dr. Scott L. Slivka, an orthopedic surgeon with the practice. “It provides enhanced patient convenience and increased efficiency and collaboration among the health care professionals within the location.”
The new location is expected to enhance market visibility for the Group Health practice and will provide more comprehensive services in West Chester, added Jerry Oliphant, TriHealth’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
