John Kiesewetter reports:
Cincinnati paranormal investigator/photographer/blogger/legal assistant Molly O’Connolly is part of the team in Syfy’s new “Killer Contact” investigative reality series from the producers of “Ghost Hunters.”
O’Connolly, a Lakota East High School graduate, and four others travel around the world “looking for paranormal proof of infamous historical figures including Lucrezia Borgia, Jack the Ripper and Dracula,” Syfy says.
The series premieres with “Jack the Ripper” (10 p.m. Dec. 4), when the team “heads to London, England, on the trail of the real identity of one of the world’s most notorious serial killers. While there, the team talks to a Ripper expert and investigates new reports of paranormal activity at the Ten Bells Pub and the Princess Alice – Victorian-era pubs said to have ties to Jack’s victims.”
Her family moved to West Chester Township from San Francisco in 1994. After Lakota East, she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Cincinnati. She now works and lives downtown. Her website bio says:
“A self-proclaimed “undercover dork,” Molly’s lifelong interest in history and the supernatural gained her a role on Syfy’s new paranormal reality series Killer Contact premiering December 4th at 10/9c. Tune in as she travels the globe investigating epic and purportedly haunted locations in search of answers to history’s most infamous and heinous crimes — we guarantee you will not want to miss it!
Currently, Molly resides in the Queen City, home of her alma mater, the University of Cincinnati. When she is not on the road living out of suitcases, she works in the city and spends the majority of her free time snapping & editing pictures, writing & blogging, cuddling her three dogs, dominating Just Dance, and doomsday prepping for the zombie apocalypse.”
The Syfy site says: “The “Killer Contact” team includes point man Austin Cook, researcher Adam Leidenfrost, ghost interrogator Greg Niecestro, tech guru Hector Barragan and role player Molly O’Connolly. Together they use any means necessary to coax the paranormal into revealing itself, even if it means a dramatic reenactment of a human sacrifice to tempt the tyrannical Mayan ruler, Lord Smoking Shell.”
“Killer Contact” episodes include “Vlad the Impaler: Dracula” in Romania (Tuesday, Dec. 10); bloodthirsty “Lucrezia Borgia” in Italy (Wednesday, Dec. 11); the “The Hellfire Club” in Scotland and Ireland (Tuesday, Dec. 17); and “The Mayan Empire” in Belize and “The Butcher of Iquique” in Chile (10 p.m.-midnight, Wednesday, Dec. 18).
