Children, who collected too many treats this Halloween, can trade in their extra candy at Noodles & Company for a free small bowl of noodles from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The free noodles are available for children 12 and under.

According to assistant general manager of the West Chester location Hannah Ramer, the restaurant has had this promotion for the past two years.

IHOP, located at 7748 Cox Lane in West Chester, will be serving up free scary face pancakes to children 12 and under in celebration of Halloween this Friday, Oct. 28, morning from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

During those three hours, young IHOP customers will receive an oversized signature buttermilk pancake with a whipped topping mouth and strawberry nose, plus two mini Oreos and candy corn on the side so they can create their own design.

The scary face pancake has been available on IHOP’s kids’ menu throughout October.

Local Penn Station stores will give out free fries on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in honor of the chain’s Customer Appreciation Day, according Cincinnati.com’s “New in Town” blog.

Both Penn Stations in West Chester and another in Liberty Township confirmed that they would be participating in the event.

People who visit the stores Wednesday will receive free fries (small) if they dine-in. No purchase is required.

Penn Station is located at 9547 Cincinnati-Columbus Road and at 8282 Beckett Park Drive in West Chester. There is also a Penn Station located at 6752 Cincinnati-Dayton Road in Liberty Township. All three locations are open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Until 10 a.m., IHOP will be giving away free short stacks in celebration of National Pancake Day today, March 1. No purchase is necessary and each customer will receive a short stack of three buttermilk pancakes. Typically the cost of a short stack with bacon and eggs is $4.99.

The neighborhood IHOP is located at 7748 Cox Lane off Tylersville Road in West Chester.

IHOP runs the promotion for charity purposes and asks its customers to consider donating something for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other designated local charities. Last year, as a chain, IHOP raised more than $2.1 million. Since 2006, it has raised $5.35 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities. IHOP has also given away more than 10.1 million buttermilk pancakes.

JD Stackerz Bar & Grille in Liberty Township will celebrate family night every Monday by offering free meals to children 10 and under. The current promotion allows a child to eat free for every adult purchase of $5 or more.

According to the owners of the restaurant, the promotion will continue indefinitely.

JD Stackerz is also currently planning events in relation to family night. Some of the events, which will be determined at a later date, include movies and gaming competitions for children.

JD Stackerz Bar & Grille is located at 7340 Yankee Road in Liberty Township. It is in the shopping center with the Kroger Marketplace near Lakota East High School.

Qdoba customers will receive a free order of chips and warm three-cheese queso when they donate a canned or non-perishable food item Jan. 1-9 in 2011.

Qdoba has partnered with the Freestore Foodbank for the “Cans for Queso” promotion in hope to continue the holiday tradition of food drives into the New Year.

The promotion is available at all of Greater Cincinnati’s Qdoba locations, which includes the brand new restaurant off Union Centre Blvd. in West Chester.

The offer is valid for one order of free chips and queso per person, per day. Donation quantity does not increase the offer.

The newly opened Qdoba in West Chester off Union Centre Blvd. is making it easy to get a free or very cheap meal this month. The store officially opened Nov. 22, but had its ribbon cutting today, Dec. 1, at noon.

In celebration of its grand opening of newest West Chester location, which is actually located at 9220 Allen Rd., Qdoba is having numerous promotions to attract new customers.

For smartphone users, it is fairly easy to score a free meal.

This week only, Yelp users can get a free entrée for stopping by. Yelp users must prove they’re members by showing their profile on their phone or by printing off an e-mail or screen shot.

Another way to get a free entrée would be “checking in” to the restaurant via FourSquare. This promotion will last the rest of the month. People who “check in” will also receive a free fountain drink.

For those who may not have smartphone or know what Yelp or FourSquare are, there are other ways to save.

Through the rest of the month, customers can ask for a pre-loaded Qdoba card. They are free and after registering it online, customers will receive 1, 5, 10 or 52 free entrees at Qboda.

Also through the rest of the month, Qdoba customers can purchase burritos for only $5 after 5 p.m. and can receive a free order of chips and queso by showing a valid same-day movie ticket from nearby Rave Motion Pictures.

Last, until the end of the week, Qdoba is giving a $5 meal deal (entree and fountain drink) for Urban Active members.

Starting today, July 23, the IKEA in West Chester will feed your kids for free. The offer will be available until Aug. 15.

At the IKEA restaurant, children under 12 can choose up to three kid’s meal items. IKEA kid’s meal items include peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, meatballs, organic penne pasta marinara, mashed potatoes, organic apple sauce, French toast sticks, baby carrots, mixed vegetables, cookies and yogurt.

Adults do not need to purchase any food items in order to get their kids’ meals for free. The value of the deal is up to $2.49.
