Celebrity waiter dinner to benefit Reach Out Lakota

Reach Out Lakota is hosting a celebrity waiter dinner on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel in West Chester. Proceeds from the organization’s second annual fundraising event will support Reach Out Lakota’s food pantry and clothing department.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour and will feature entertainment all evening long, including a Lakota jazz band and comedy ventriloquist Denny Baker. The highlight of the evening will be dinner, served by local celebrities.

Cost is $65 per person or $500 for a table of eight. You can also become a corporate sponsor. To make a reservation, email RSVP@reachoutlakota.org. For information on table sponsorship or questions about the event, contact Jason Leyda at jason.leyda@bankatfirst.com.

Reach Out Lakota’s mission, according to its website, is to assist individuals and families in the Lakota school district by putting help and hope into their hands during times of need through their food and clothing pantries.

Chamber to host final luncheon of 2011 Tuesday

The West Chester ▪ Liberty Chamber Alliance will recognize and thank its 2011 team chairs, board officers and members at its monthly member luncheon at Wingate by Wyndham in West Chester from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Entertainment will be provided by comedy ventriloquist, Denny Baker, with DB & Co. The luncheon’s emcee will be Ian Murray of Murray Multimedia Resources, LLC.

The luncheon, which is $27 for members and non-members, is organized to give the local business community an opportunity to network and make contacts.

Wingate by Wyndham is located at 7500 Tylers Place Boulevard.

Next Tuesday, the Chamber will host its Sixty-Second Connect program from noon to 1 p.m.

This one-hour program helps members build lasting business relationships and share valuable information with other members. Sixty-Second Connect consists of a self-introduction by each attendee, sponsor presentations, door prizes and a taste of Noodles & Company.

Participating members should bring business cards and be prepared to talk about their business in sixty seconds.

The Sixty-Second Connect program is held at the Chamber’s West Chester office, located at 8922 Beckett Road.
