Designed to bring school personnel and the public together to talk about specific issues or anything related to the schools, the informal sessions are hosted by individuals or organizations.
The discussions began a year ago. Forty-two were held at residents’ homes or gathering spots during the last school year. The goal is to do just as many this year, said Randy Oppenheimer, district spokesman.
Besides two or three board members the superintendent and some administrators attend the sessions.
No action is taken or official school business conducted at any of the sessions.
They are designed for the communityto talk about any education concerns or experiences and to answer questions, Oppenheimer said.
Anyone wishing to host such a session is asked to contact Oppenheimer at 513-874-5505.
