A series of public community conversation meetings to talk about the Lakota Schools continues today in Liberty Township.
A session begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at 4820 Imperial Drive. The public is invited to the meeting.
The discussions began a year ago. Forty-two were held at residents homes or gathering sports during the last school year. The goal is to do just as many this year, said Randy Oppenheimer, district spokesman.
“They’re just for information gathering to find out the pulse of the community on schools and education,’’ Oppenheimer said.
Besides two or three board members the superintendent and some administrators attend the sessions.
No action is taken or official school business conducted at any of the sessions.
They are designed for the community talk about any education concerns or experiences and to answer questions, Oppenheimer said.
Anyone wishing to host such a session, is asked to contact Oppenheimer, at 513-874-5505.
