The “Dine Around for Charity” event will begin this Wednesday, Nov. 3, and continue on different dates throughout the month. On certain dates, people can dine in or receive carryout at local restaurants and have a portion of their check donated to The Angel Fund at the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty.
The first opportunity to donate while you dine will be Nov. 3 at TGI Fridays, which is located on Cox Road. TGI Fridays and other participating restaurants ask that you bring in the coupon flier for the event. Fliers can be printed off at the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty website at www.wclfoundation.com.
The next opportunity will be Nov. 8-9 at Bob Evans, located at 9223 Schulze Drive in West Chester. City Barbeque, located at 7706 Voice of America Center Drive in West Chester, will donate 25 percent of the check Nov. 16 and UNO, located at 9246 Schulze Drive, will donate 20 percent of the check Nov. 23-24 to benefit The Angel Fund.
According to the event’s press release, The Angel Fund benefits residents and/or persons employed in West Chester/Liberty, who are in an extraordinary, unusual or urgent situation and have not been able to secure assistance by any other means. Recipients are nominated by a friend, neighbor, school official, employer or some other who becomes their Angel. Some recent Angel Fund beneficiaries were homeless and needed shelter, could not afford a funeral for a loved one, or needed a car fixed so that they could get back to work.
