Discovering the wide variety of fall wildflowers is the purpose of the Fall Wildflower Walk at Cherokee Park.
Led by Chuck Holliday, participants should gather at the Liberty Township park, 4616 Watoga Dr., for the 10 a.m. walk.
Holliday, a member of the township’s Parks Committee will point out native wildflowers including Great Blue Lobelia, Green-headed Coneflower and Wingstem.
Along the way the walk will be stopped for sightings of birds, dragonflies and butterflies.
There is no cost for the walk open to those of all experience levels. Wear appropriate footwear for unpaved trails that can be slick. Bring binoculars and field guides.
