The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Mike Dyer reported this morning, on signing day, Lakota East senior running back Chamoda Palmore has committed to play football at Georgetown College.
Palmore played a big role in Lakota East’s first-ever postseason appearance and postseason win this fall.
After missing almost three full games due to a broken left knuckle, Palmore returned for the regular season finale against Lakota West. In that game, Palmore rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
With help from Palmore, East upset West by the score of 33-21. The win propelled East into the playoffs and eliminated West.
In the first round of the postseason, East – No. 7 seed in the region – went on the road and defeated Springboro – No. 2 seed in the region – 45-38. In that win, Palmore rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. He also took a pass 75 yards for another score.
The following week, a 46-20 loss to Moeller, Palmore added 98 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Moeller went on to win the state championship.
For the season, Palmore rushed for 775 yards and five touchdowns on only 96 carries (8.1 yards per carry).
