The Everest Award, the West Chester ▪ Liberty Chamber Alliance’s inaugural event honoring business leaders on the I-75 Growth Corridor, will take place Thursday evening at the Cincinnati Marriott North at Union Centre.

According to the chamber, the Everest Award, was created to focus attention on, and help market this emerging global economic center along I-75 with a focus on the people who helped shape it.

“A key area for the future development of southwestern Ohio is what we term the I-75 Growth Corridor, I-275 to I-675. Honorees for the 2012 Everest Award include Lawrence Schumacher (president of Schumacher Dugan Construction), Rajesh K. Soin (chairman and CEO of Soin International) and James L. Wainscott (chairman, president and CEO of AK Steel).

The keynote speaker is Will Cross, who has ascended the highest peaks on all seven continents including Mt. Everest while living with type-1 diabetes for more than 30 years. Cammy Dierking of LOCAL12 is the emcee.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the West Chester ▪ Liberty Chamber Alliance at 513.777.3600 or by visiting www.TheChamberAlliance.com.
