A St. Clair Township man arrested Thursday is facing drug charges after deputies from the Butler County sheriff’s office say they caught him possessing heroin.
Sheriff Richard Jones said Billy Campbell, 26, of the 2000 block of Caldwell St., was arrested Thursday and was charged with heroin trafficking and possession.
Campbell was driving a rental vehicle about 10 p.m. Thursday when police pulled him over on Princeton Road in Liberty Township, according to police.
Campbell’s wife and two children were in the vehicle when deputies found more than a 1 1/2 pounds of heroin in the trunk.
In addition to the heroin seizure, police seized a 2004 Buick sport-utility vehicle and $1,500.
Campbell was in Butler County jail as of Friday afternoon.
