Staff changes are coming to the staff of U.S. Speaker John Boehner following the year-end retirement of Mick Krieger, chief of staff, after 33 years of federal service.
Replacing Krieger is Ryan Day, a graduate of Xavier University, who has served as Boehner’s district director since 2006. He will direct Beohner’s staff operations in West Chester Township, Troy, Springfield, and Washington, D.C.
“This new lineup ensures we’re equipped to maintain the tradition of high quality constituent service and excellence the people of our district have come to expect from me and my staff,” Boehner said.
Other changes include:
- Frank DeBrosse, a Piqua native, has been named district director. He joined Boehner’s staff in 2009 as northern district field representative
- Kara Hauck, a Cincinnati native and Miami University graduate, joins the team in January as press secretary for Boehner’s congressional office. She takes over for Brittany Bramell, who has accepted a job in California.
- Tristan Weis has been named field representative for the northern part of the district. An army veteran who served in Iraq, he joined the staff as a Wounded Warrior fellow in 2011, and has worked as a veterans outreach coordinator in the West Chester Township, Troy and Springfield offices. He will continue that job along with his new responsibilities.
“I’m grateful for Mick’s decades of service to our region and I know the people of our community join Debbie and me in wishing (Mick), Pam, Barbie and Bill all the best,” Boehner said.
