West Chester Police have arrested a man accused of trying to rob a local motel and assaulting a clerk.
Police say Joseph J. Dugan, 30, attempted to force entry into the Tri-County Inn at 10110 Princeton-Glendale Road around 1:25 a.m. Oct. 7 and demanded money from the clerk. A struggle ensued and Dugan assaulted the clerk, who was able to fight him off before Dugan fled on foot.
Dugan is also wanted out of Hamilton County for deception to obtain a dangerous drug, according to Cincinnati Police.
Dugan was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday. He remains in the Butler County Jail on a $26,373 bond.
