Sue Kiesewetter reports:
Forrest Holger isn’t leaving the Liberty Township Zoning Commission anytime soon.
The commissioner has been reappointed to a five-year term that ends Sept. 1, 2019. Holger has been on the commission sice 2010 when he was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Arthur Ollendorff, who resigned.
Last year Holger got more involved in the township. He sits on the Vision Plan Steering Committee. The group is updating the township’s 2006 Comprehensive Plan.
When completed and adopted by trustees, it will serve as a planning tool to guide development in the township, preserve environmental features and plan for greenways, and parks.
The group has held three public open houses hearings and plans to present a draft of the plan this fall.
