Sue Kiesewetter reports:
Visitors to Liberty Township’s website should find it easier and quicker to navigate to information they want.
Launched last week, the updated website, www.liberty-township.com, has been under review and development for several months.
“It was time to update and give it a new look and feel,’’ said Caroline McKinney, director of economic development. “We wanted to make it a little bit more user friendly.”
The home page includes an introduction to the township, a listing of news related to the township, a calendar of events and a left-hand listing of topics and links to other parts of the website.
There are at least three different ways to get to information on the website – by design, McKinney said. It is still organized by department.
More prominent is a form whereby residents can alert township officials about nuisances – such as grass or weeds that have to be mowed.
Eventually minutes and agendas from township trustees and other meetings will be added.
New to the site is a bulletin board for one-time, informational pieces of information, McKinney said.
