The week is off to a pleasant start with a blend of sun and clouds and more mild temperatures, but storms and warmer conditions are expected by Tuesday.
It’s 60 degrees this morning at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
The high temperature will reach 82 by 5 p.m.
As soon as Tuesday, the mercury will begin rising. Tuesday’s high will reach 87 under partly sunny skies, just about normal for this time of year.

By Tuesday night, the threat for showers and thunderstorms will loom and stick around through Thursday.
Our best shot at rain will be Wednesday or Thursday as a cold front approaches from the west. In all, about 1.5 inches of rain could accumulate.
The system could bring lightning, winds gusting 45 mph or more and heavy downpours.
On Friday, the sun will return and stick around through the weekend. Temperatures will hover in the low-80s during the day and low-60s overnight.
