For the second straight year, the 2013 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships will take place at Voice of America Park in West Chester Township. Last year’s championships marked the first time in its 23-year history that it was held in Ohio.
During the Wakeboard National Championships, which will take place next Thursday, July 25 through next Saturday, many of the top wake athletes from across the country are expected to compete for national titles in each of its age and skill-level categories. The championships will feature more than 20 divisions with competitors ranging from seven to 55 years old.
“Voice of America MetroPark is an ideal venue to host the Nautique WWA National Championships,” said Chris Bischoff, tournament director. “The water conditions are perfect and the shoreline is awesome for the spectators to be able to watch all of the killer riding.”
Coinciding with the event are the 2013 Nautique & Rockstar WWA Wake Park National Championships at Wake Nation Cincinnati in Fairfield, also July 25-27. This event features a crossover option, which encourages cable and boat riders to compete in both disciplines.
Online adult tickets are available for $7, while tickets at the gate are $13 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under. With the online purchase of a WWA Wakeboard National Championship ticket, the buyer will also receive a two-hour cable pass valued at $30 to Wake Nation Cincinnati. The free cable pass is valid from July 29 until the end of the 2013 season. Tickets are limited to one cable pass per person per event.
