The Nasty Boys, the most popular trio of relief pitchers in Cincinnati Reds history, have agreed to take part in a meet-and-greet and signing event at the Sports Gallery, 7967 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, in West Chester Township this summer.
Before Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble and Randy Myers are reunited with Reds fans, the sports memorabilia shop will host a trio of current Reds in starting pitcher Mat Latos, catcher Ryan Hanigan and second baseman Brandon Phillips.
Latos and Hanigan will host their signing event together this Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets (one autograph per ticket), which are still available, are $30 for Latos and $25 for Hanigan.
In addition to the pitcher-catcher duo, fan favorite Brandon Phillips has agreed to participate in a signing session at the same location on Saturday, June 8 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tickets (again, one autograph per ticket) are $60 for smaller items, such as a mini-helmet, baseball card, baseball or any flat item up to 16×20. Tickets are $75 for larger items, such as a bat, jersey, equipment, flat item more than a 16×20, painting or game used item.
Unlike the signings for the current Reds, fans wanting to meet and have an autograph from the Nasty Boys have to enter a online lottery available at asportsgallery.com. The selection process is already underway.
Overall, 150 fans will be selected to attend the event that will take place on Wednesday, June 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets, which are limited to one per household, then cost $200 and includes all three signatures on one item. Fans can stick around after having their items signed to get a photo with the three former Reds.
Prior to signing events or on the day of the event, the Sports Gallery will also have baseballs, bats, photos, cards, helmets and other Reds collectibles available for purchase. For more information about the events, call 513-759-4256.
