A second work day has been scheduled for Thursday at Liberty Township’s Cherokee Park.
It is the first of two that will be held in township parks this week under the direction of Parks Board member Chuck Holliday.
Volunteers should gather at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the park, 4616 Watogo Drive, in the Cherokee Estates subdivision.
Those who volunteer will be asked to help clean out gardens. long sleeves, gloves and safety glasses.
On Saturday volunteers are needed to help clear out invasive plants at Allen Park, 5440 Joann Drive. Enter on Kyles Station Road between Yankee and Maud Hughes roads.
Along with clearing out brush and invasive plants, volunteers will be asked to plant certain flowers and other plants to draw birds and butterflies.
