Posted by akiefaber March 11th, 2013, 12:32 am

From the desk of Enquirer Media publisher Margaret Buchanan:

After more than 170 years, thousands of conversations with readers and advertisers and years of planning, we’re excited to introduce your new Enquirer on Monday. You’ll first notice the change in size, but it won’t take long before you start to experience its improved readability and flow.

bildeYou’ll see strong photography and bold graphics in the new Enquirer, but more importantly, you’ll continue to find the same depth and breadth of news coverage you’ve come to expect from us.

Life is busy, and we know you want news and information that fit your on-the-go lifestyle. In its easy-to-hold and easy-to-read size, the new Enquirer does that and much more.

And as a subscriber, you can access all of our most up-to-date news and information on Cincinnati.com, NKY.com, and all of our digital apps for your smartphone and tablet, including Reds and Things To Do. You also get our e-Newspapers, which are electronic replicas of the printed Enquirer. Be sure to take advantage of all your subscription includes by activating your digital account at Cincinnati.com/Activate.

To celebrate the day, we will deliver Monday’s historic first edition to all Enquirer subscribers, including our weekend and Sunday-only customers.

If you don’t subscribe, I encourage you to pick up a copy at one of our retail partner locations.

Once you’ve seen the new Enquirer, I’d love to hear what you think. Complete a feedback form at Cincinnati.com/NewEnquirerFeedback or e-mail me personally at publisher@enquirer.com.

Change sometimes brings unexpected challenges. We have invested tremendous effort and resources throughout the planning process, but if we encounter any issues, we will have teams ready to respond.

Meeting your needs is at the core of what we do. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support as we begin this transition.

While Monday will be the beginning of a new era in our history, it will be bittersweet. The new Enquirer will be printed at Dispatch Printing in Columbus, because the new format requires a complete transformation in printing technology.

Generations of Cincinnatians have dedicated their professional lives to serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky readers and advertisers. Since our Queensgate printing facility started full production of the newspaper in 1979, The Enquirer production team has never missed a day of printing. The devotion of these employees to their craft, The Enquirer and this community has been remarkable.

I personally want to thank each of them and their families for their dedication. I, along with their colleagues, have great admiration for their professionalism and devotion.
