Drivers in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area are getting a pre-spring treat in the form of slightly lower gasoline prices.
The price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the Cincinnati area has fallen about 17 cents from a week ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
The survey of stations found regular gasoline cost motorists an average of $3.58 Monday in the Ohio portion of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. A year ago, a gallon of regular cost $3.79 on average.
Regular gas cost $3.70 on average Monday in Covington and the Kentucky portion of the Greater Cincinnati area. That price is down 8 cents from a week ago and 19 cents from a year ago.
The average prices Monday in Ohio and Kentucky were $3.58 and $3.60, respectively.
