Sue Kiesewetter reports:
The Walkers Club is returning to the Bridgewater Falls shopping complex for a 9-week spring session.
The free club is open to adults of all fitness levels who are 18 or older. Typically, more than 150 join the club for the spring session.
Members meet for one hour, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from April 2 through May 30. Walks begin at the parking lot near ULTA and Chili’s.
Jack Cook, a certified person trainer and owner of Fitness Together will lead the walks. He will be assisted by Penny Purdy, a certified personal trainer.
During this session Purdy will provide nutrition and fitness tips to club members. She will also organize an optional daily challenge for club members.
Club members typically follow a one-mile, marked path through the 60-acre property at the intersection of Ohio 4 Bypass and Princeton Road. Participants can walk the path as many times as they wish during each session.
Those who attend 14 of the 18 sessions will be eligible for a prize package. Registration is required to become a club member and can be done online at http://conta.cc/XKnXZs.
Individuals who register by March 13 will receive a club t-shirt and goodie bag that includes coupons and giveaways from Bridgewater Falls merchants and Walkers Club sponsors.
