Jennifer Edwards Baker reports

Watch for a wintry mix of rain and snow today between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Temperatures will remain above the freezing mark, so accumulating snow and hazardous road conditions are not expected, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

It’s 34 degrees this morning at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The high temperature later should reach 44.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 29 degrees.

The sun will return on Thursday as the mercury soars to a high temperature of 50, a good 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

A cold front will push into our region this weekend, bringing frostier temperatures and a 30 percent chance for snow showers between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday. It will be mostly cloudy with a high of 38.

Snow flurries could continue to fly until 4 a.m. Saturday. Little to no accumulation is expected.

By Saturday afternoon, the high will struggle to reach 30 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

The overnight low will be downright frigid with a low around 19.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 33.

By President’s Day on Monday, the mercury will rebound into the mid-40s.
