Senior defensive back Nick Bengal and senior offensive lineman Ben Pendery recently made verbal commitments to play football in college just before National Signing Day, which is Wednesday.
Lakota West head coach Larry Cox said Bengal has committed to Gannon University, while Pendery committed to the University of Dayton.

Bengal, who is 6 feet 1 and 170 pounds, was a second-team all-GMC selection this past season. He led his team with 8 pass breakups, while playing most of the 2012 season with two broken wrists.
Bengal also officially visited Columbia, Ashland and Grand Valley State, Cox said.
According to Cox, Pendery – 6-foot-2, 295 pounds – also considered Ashland University, Georgetown College, Centre College and Hanover College. Pendery was a three-year starter on the Lakota West offensive line, was named first-team all-GMC, first-team all-GMC Academic, and Honorable Mention all-Southwest Ohio .
