Winter’s chill returns

Posted by akiefaber January 31st, 2013, 7:15 am

Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:

Winter’s chill is back with howling winds gusting more than 30 mph and frigid temperatures that will barely make it out of the 20s today.

By tonight, wind chills will dip below zero.

Watch out for a light dusting of snow this morning during your commute. Snow flurries will fall off and on all day. It’s 27 degrees with a wind chill of 13 at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Later the high temperature will struggle to reach 30 with wind chills remaining in the teens.

Tonight will be downright arctic with a low of 12 and wind chills of -2 as snow begins drifting down. About an inch of snow could accumulate overnight into early Friday.

Friday should be mostly sunny, but we’ll stay in the deep freeze with a high temperature only reaching 20 and wind chill values as low as -4.

More snow could fly early Saturday, totaling about an inch.

Temperatures this weekend will push into the 30s with overnight lows into the 20s.
