Bowling Green offered Lakota West junior running back Mikel Horton on Wednesday, according to Mike Dyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer.
Horton, who has received interest from Louisville, Penn State and Michigan State, also has offers from Indiana, Kent State, Toledo and Kentucky.
In 2012, the 6-foot-1, 225-pound Horton rushed for 1,003 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Next month, Horton will be attending Alabama’s junior day.
In November, Horton was named to Rivals.com 250 Prospect Rankings list for the class of 2014. He was one of four players from the region to make the list, which also included Walnut Hills defensive back Nilijah Ballew, Conner (Hebron, Ky.) quarterback Drew Barker and Colerain wide receiver Trevon Hudson.
Rivals.com is listing all four local athletes as four-star recruits.
