Janice Morse reports:

A “fast-moving” storm system could make for a slower commute Friday morning. The National Weather Service in Wilmington issued a winter weather advisory this afternoon, affecting the entire Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

“Snow will begin just before sunrise and will quickly spread across the area,” the advisory said. “Travel difficulties are expected,” because of reduced visibility and snow accumulation, along with possible slick spots on roadways.

“Be prepared for snow-covered roads,” the Weather Service said, advising, “use caution while driving.”

By afternoon, there could be one to two inches of snow on the ground before the snowfall tapers off.
