Shauna Steigerwald of Cincinnati.com’s New in Town blog reports:
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is opening a fourth Family Thrift Store in West Chester this Saturday. It will be at 7900 Tylersville Square Road, just off the exit at I-75 and Tylersville Road, adjacent to Lowe’s.
The 18,000-square-foot store will stock clothing, household items, electronics, books, toys, furniture and collectibles. ”Family Day” discounts will be offered every Wednesday.
A grand opening celebration will take place on Saturday, with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m.; free coffee and hot dogs; and “goody bags” for the first 100 customers. Shoppers can also register to win a new Cincinnati Bengals jacket. Daily drawings for gift certificates, a 32-inch flat screen television and other prizes will be offered throughout the store’s first week in business.
Proceeds from the store will support the Adult Rehabilitation Center, located in Norwood. Families in need can get vouchers to the store through The Salvation Army’s social services programs.
Donations of clothing and household items can be made during store hours or, after hours, they can be dropped in bins at the front of the store. Bins are also available in many local Kroger parking lots. At-home pick-ups can be scheduled by calling 800-SA-TRUCK.
Store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday. To contact, call 513-759-5500 or visit www.salvationarmycincinnati.org.
