Sue Kiesewetter reports:

Liberty Township children can spend a morning learning how to fish during the Passport to Fish event this Saturday.

The session runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Reserves Park, 5119 Grandin Ridge Dr., in the Reserves of Liberty subdivision.

Hands on instruction on fishing will be presented to participants who are ages 10-15. Each will move through five stations to learn about casting, baiting their hook, Ohio’s fishing rules and identifying fish common to the region.

Following the program, children will be tested on their skills as they fish. Poles and bait will be furnished.

A hot dog lunch ends the morning.

The program is limited to 50 children. There is no cost, but reservations are required.

For more information or to make a reservation, call 513-759-7500 or email vdaniel@liberty-township.com.
