West Chester will have Greater Cincinnati’s second Menchie’s frozen yogurt location when it opens at 8177 Princeton-Glendale Road next Friday, Aug. 17.
Owner and operator Jim Hach said the store will have a weeklong grand opening celebration beginning Saturday, Aug. 25. During the promotional event, there will be a different special each day, including free yogurt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first day of the celebration.
Details of the celebration will eventually be shared on the store’s Facebook page – Menchie’s Beckett Ridge. The Facebook page, as well as its Twitter feed (@MechiesBeckett), will also be a good source for all future specials and new flavors.
Hach, who is from Liberty Township, is also working on opening another Menchie’s location in the shopping complex in Fairifield that currently features Jungle Jim’s.
Overall, Hach wants to open five Menchie’s locations in Greater Cincinnati.
Currently, there is only one location in Cincinnati at 6360 Tylersville Road in Mason. That location is near Voice of America Park in West Chester, which also has similar establishments like Freeze Yogurt Bar, Bad Frog and Orange Leaf nearby.
The West Chester Menchie’s location will be across the street from Kroger and directly next to the Grand Ole Pub. Hach said he picked the location because it was not near the other yogurt shops by VOA Park and because he thinks there are better traffic conditions on that side of West Chester.
