The newly constructed Panda Express, 7943 Tylersville Road, in West Chester opened last week. The Chinese food chain, which has more than 1,500 restaurants in a combined 42 states, is located in front of the Kohl’s department store.
The new restaurant has not yet planned a grand-opening celebration, but is currently open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday. On Thursdays and Sundays, Panda Express opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m. The West Chester location also has a drive-thru window.
The business is one of several to open in the West Chester Uptown area since last fall when Orange Leaf Yogurt, Blue Frog Yogurt and East Meets West Buffet & Grill opened.
In December, Ruby Tuesday gave its location a brand makeover to become Marlin & Ray’s, Geisha re-opened with an expanded menu, Aveda Fredric’s Institute opened to provide salon services and training, and Kalamatas Greek Grill opened its location in the area.
Then, in early 2012, Massage Envy Spa and Oasis Nail & Spa also opened their locations off Tylersville Road.
Meanwhile, construction continues on the Fresh Market, which is located across the street from Panda Express. The European-style market, which sells fresh produce, flowers and other perishables, is projected to open Sept. 1, 2012.
Closer to the I-75 ramps, Jack in the Box is scheduled to open its first Ohio location in mid-July. Construction is underway directly next to the Long John Silver’s off Tylersville Road.
