A pair of informational nights geared to help students and parents prepare to play high school and college football will soon be offered by the Lakota West football program.
In related news, Lakota West junior offensive lineman Kyle Meadows received his third scholarship offer Wednesday. Ohio University offered Meadows, who has already received offers to play at the University of Louisville and Youngstown State University.
On Thursday, Lakota West head coach Larry Cox will host a college football informational night. The program will provide information on academic requirements, athletic expectations and how to market yourself to schools so you can have the best collegiate opportunities. The program is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the community room at Lakota West High School
Next Thursday, March 1, there will be a meeting for all those interested in playing football next season for Plains Junior, Ridge Junior, Lakota West Freshman and Lakota West High School varsity and junior varsity teams. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the gym at Lakota West High School.

Meanwhile, Meadows has also attracted the attention of numerous college programs including Florida State, Bowling Green, Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Ohio State, Michigan State, Alabama and Georgia.
Earlier this month, nine Lakota West seniors signed with college programs. Those seniors include safety Dawson Fletcher (Indiana University), defensive lineman Blake Bell (California University of Penn.), linebacker Jordan Darland (Olivet Nazarene University), linebacker Cole Stalker (University of Findlay), offensive lineman Beau Odom (Georgetown College), wide receiver Bubba Williams (Lindsey Wilson College), wide receiver Kayaune Ross (Fort Scott Community College), Marcus Davis (Murray State University – preferred walk-on) and DeVonne Bingham (Urbana University).
