Lakota East’s leading scorer commits to NSU

Senior forward Molly Blomer, who leads the Lakota East girls’ basketball team in scoring with 13.5 points per game, has committed to continue her basketball career at Nova Southeastern University near Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Lakota West at Lakota East Blomer is a four-year starter at Lakota East and has led the team in rebounding in each of the last two seasons. Last season, she was selected to the all-Greater Miami Conference second team.

This season, Blomer has made 43.5 percent of her field goals (14th in the GMC), 38.3 percent of her three-point attempts (fifth in the GMC) and 87 percent of her free throws (first in the GMC).

At Nova Southeastern, Blomer is planning to major in software engineering and computer science.
