Janice Morse and Brenna R. Kelly report for Cincinnati Enquirer:
A couple inches of snow could be on the ground in Greater Cincinnati by Saturday morning – not much by most winters’ standards, but it may be the most snow we’ve had so far during this remarkably snow-less winter, the National Weather Service at Wilmington says.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Northern Kentucky, southwest Ohio and southeast Indiana.
The advisory will be in effect from 3 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday.
Most of the area could see between one to two inches of snow, with three inches falling in some areas.
The temperature is expected to rapidly drop into the 20s Friday night, the Weather Service said. The high on Saturday will only reach the mid-20s.
There’s a 60 percent chance that snow will begin to fall late Friday afternoon; a half-inch might accumulate. By nightfall, the chance of snow is 90 percent, with accumulation of one to two inches possible.
Snow showers could continue Saturday morning, mainly before 9 a.m. It will be partly sunny with a high near 24 and a low around 13.
Sunday is predicted to be sunny with a high near 30.
