Former Lakota West basketball star Alexis Rogers, who is a redshirt sophomore on the Bowling Green State University girls’ basketball team, was recently named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week.
Rogers averaged 14.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, helping Bowling Green to a 3-0 record last week. In a game against Youngstown State last Tuesday, Rogers totaled career highs in points with 23 and in rebounds with 11.
In her first season at BGSU, after transferring from Duke University, Rogers is averaging 9.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Her team is currently 7-2 on the year and has won six straight games.
Rogers and the Falcons will be back in action at Creighton at 2:05 p.m. Sunday.
